Rooted in the concept of sending and receiving letters Postman Pat is perfectly aligned with reading and literacy. It is through this strong connection we have partnered with the National Literacy Trust to help promote reading to children across the UK.

The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that changes lives through literacy.
To make a real difference, whole communities need to work together. We help to make this happen by linking home, school and the wider community to inspire learners and create opportunities for everyone.

We provide free books for children in disadvantaged areas to choose and keep. We promote reading using male reading role models, from Postman Pat to local dads. We support schools in developing whole-school reading communities and encourage reading in the home. Literacy changes lives.
