About Postman Pat

Postman Pat (Pat Clifton) enjoys his work delivering the post to his neighbours in the idyllic village of Greendale. With his trusty sidekick, Jess, the black and white cat; and his bright red van (or more recently his helicopter, quad bike and off-road 4x4), Pat always makes his delivery.

 

Postman Pat loves to help out his friends and family (not to mention perfect strangers and stray animals) and always has a smile on his face. He lives at Forge Cottage with his wife, Sara and son, Julian. Ultimately, Pat encourages a sense of community spirit, bringing out the good neighbour in all of us.

 

Special Delivery Service

With his demanding job as Head of the Special Delivery Service (SDS), it’s Postman Pat as you’ve never seen him before. This well-deserved promotion means that Postman Pat is now called on by the SDS to deliver anything, anytime, anywhere! With his faithful companion Jess the Cat, Pat proves that he can be counted on to deliver… on time, every time!

 

Postman Pat SDS features an expanded and diverse cast, new vehicles and the new bustling town of Pencaster.

 

Whilst Postman Pat SDS has a lot of new features, the essence of the programme remains the same. Many of the much-loved characters from the original series remain as Pat commutes between Greendale and the new town of Pencaster.

 

Postman Pat SDS continues to teach children values and lessons, injecting high energy action, laughter and fun to resonate with children and adults of today. A second series of Postman Pat SDS airs on CBeebies from February 2013.
